Occupational Therapists provide holistic and client centred therapy working across the lifespan. Specialties can include paedatrics, hand therapy, mental health, home modications to name a few.

No. Referrals are not required to access Playworks OT.
In some circumstances Medicare referrals can be written by a GP or Medical doctor.

An Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) or Chronic Disease Management Plan can be used to assist in the cost of therapy.
These can be provided by your General Practitioner and entitle you to 5 sessions of subsidised Allied Health per year.
A copy must be provided to Playworks OT prior to commencing therapy. You will be required to pay for sessions upfront and claim medicare rebate online or via the Medicare App.
Playworks OT is unable to accept Medicare Plans under Better Access Scheme or “Mental Health Care Plan”

Yes you can use your Private Health insurance Extras Cover to assist in paying for sessions.
Please check with your provider for specific cover information.
HICAPS not available. You will be required to pay for sessions in full and then claim your rebate after payment has been received.

We ask you notify us of an appointment changes or cancellations as soon as you are able.
All appointments will be confirmed via email and a reminder email sent 3 days before your session.
If you are unable to attend we request more than 48 hours notice to avoid cancellation fee.
Should there be exceptional circumstances or you have a medical certificate we are able to waive the fee.
Repeated short notice cancellations without reason may result in discharge from the service
